Arouca took the lead on 52 minutes when Vitória defender Rivas passed straight to Naïs Djouahara in error, who promptly squared to Barbero who tucked it into the bottom right hand corner from 15 yards. Arouca were reduced to ten men 2 minutes after the 90 when Monteiro was shown a second yellow for a lunging challenge on the far side of the field on Silva. Despite his claims to have taken the ball he launched the Vitória player in the air and was probably fortunate in hindsight not to be given a straight red and will only be banned for the next match. In the end Barbero's goal enough for all three points.
